The overcaffeinated crafter

So last night and today has been mad crafting time with lots and lots of caffeine. I have had joyous success and faced the cold hard boot of brutal unyeilding failure.

The failure was started last night so I will talk about it first. I was sewing a business card holder, it is embroidered with my mother in law's initials on brown suede and lined with an animal print.

 

My failure came when after assembly Alex pointed out that it looked too small to hold a business card.

Sure enough I did my seams too small and it won't fit a business card, an id but not a business card.

My glorious success is this beautiful Little Boxy Bag. (link goes to the blog with the tutorial to make this awesome bag and opens in a new window). All of the fabric I used was Fat Quarters. I bought a bunch on sale a while back so now I have a small stockpile of them that are perfect for small projects like this!

I love the colors together, especially the blue zipper on brown fabric.
